Pre-approvals are important in a seller’s market

Ana Almeida: [00:00:00:13] I’m Ana Almeida, and I’m joined by Clinton Wilkins and this month on your mortgage and we’re talking about falling into homeownership. So Clinton, what can people do to get ahead of the season?

Clinton Wilkins: [00:00:10:29] Well, currently it’s a seller’s market, so a pre-approval is just so important, Ana. Seeking the advice of an unbiased mortgage professional when you’re making the biggest purchase of your life is just so important.

Get a real estate agent to help you navigate this season

Ana Almeida: [00:00:20:08] It is very important and you did touch on it. It is a seller’s market. So what can buyers do or who can they connect with if they need advice?

Clinton Wilkins: [00:00:26:10] Connecting with a licensed real estate professional is really important, and obviously an unbiased mortgage professional. When you’re going through the process, knowing what you can afford will give sellers confidence in accepting your offer when you’re making one.
